When it comes to fashion, Eva Mendes is someone who rarely puts a foot wrong. And Thursday night was no exception, as the 39-year-old actress looked stunning while attending a dinner honouring Elizabeth Taylor.
Eva opted to revisit the Sixties in a cute polka dot shift dress, complete with a pussybow detail on the front, for the She’s So Violet Salon Dinner in Los Angeles. The stunning actress finished off her look with a pair of towering blush pink and grey patent heels, and carried a peach-coloured clutch bag.
On the cosmetics front, Eva opted for simple winged eyeliner and a slick of pink lipstick, with her brunette hair styled into a slightly tousled bob. Other stars to attend the event, held at Violet Grey’s Melrose Place store, included Pharrell Williams, Alice Eve, Jack Nicholson and Anjelica Huston.
Eva went solo at the dinner, with no sign of her boyfriend Ryan Gosling, despite the pair recently denying claims that they had broken up. Last week, Ryan was seen at Eva’s house – further dispelling claims of a split. Meanwhile, The Place Beyond the Pines actress Eva also recently laughed off recent reports she is pregnant after refusing to go through airport security scanners.
Eva insisted it was a decision she always makes because she finds the security checks ‘creepy’. She said: ‘It’s so ridiculous. Because it all started because I was didn’t want to go through the scanners at the airport. ‘You know those x-ray scanners, which are really creepy. They basically see you naked, right. And not only that, but there’s a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out. I always ask for a personal pat down.’
