Fashion Model Alisa Ahmann on Going from Calvin Klein Collection Exclusive to Top Model

Whilst it may take years for a fresh face-to become a style fixture, generally when success comes calling, it comes fast. Only five years ago, her sisters and Alisa Ahmann went on a wish, in to a modeling company in their neighborhood of Stuttgart, Germany. The four siblings were closed at that moment until a household friend advised it, significantly for their shock though the high, crazy, and stunning Ahmann siblings had never regarded modeling. “I was only sixteen, therefore visiting with a company looked like a fun concept, Ahmann is said by ”, “We all began modeling, performing and only screening jobs that are small locally.”

The whirlwind success has brought with it a wealth of new experiences, including the opportunity for transformation. “The Saint Laurent girl is very different from the Oscar de la Renta girl,” quips Ahmann (who walked for the latter last season), “every show offers you a chance to become someone different, to play with all these new characters. I love acting, so when they start changing my hair to different colors or putting me in really unusual outfits it just puts me in the best mood.” Her ability to be a quick-change artist has not gone unnoticed by photographers like Mario Testino and David Sims, either.

When it comes to the future, the model hopes to follow in the footsteps of fellow do-good catwalkers like Christy Turlington Burns and Natalia Vodianova, whose big careers are balanced by their active altruism. “In the future I want to devote more time to charity work,” says Ahmann, “I come from a close family, and I feel like I had a wonderful childhood. Every child deserves to grow up safely, so if I can do something to help children dealing with poverty, or homelessness that would be amazing.” Just as amazing as her career is turning out.
