Petition against Amber Heard gains 1.8 million signatures

It seems like Amber Heard, aka Aquaman‘s Mera, won’t have it easy when it comes to proceeding with the DC movie’s future sequel.

According to Stanford Arts Review, a petition demanding the removal of Amber Heard from Aquaman 2 has now gained more than 1.8 million signatures! The fight with actor Johnny Depp and its outcome has resulted in a big reaction on social media.

And now, a big section of those who want her out of Aquaman 2 are constantly bashing the Friday Night Lights actress. They are asking Warner Bros to take strict action by firing her from the project.

The now infamous domestic abuse case has caused big damage to actor Johnny Depp’s career. He was recently ousted from the next Fantastic Beasts installment as well. But his supporters are not taking it lightly and want justice for him. Large groups of people are running online campaigns since the last few months of this year against Amber Heard. And the petition regarding the same is actually getting a big response!

More than 1.8 million signatures are already completed for the cause of removing her from Aquaman‘s sequel. And it looks like it will keep increasing in the coming months. Whether or not it succeeds will totally depend on Warner Bros and the makers of the film. However, there’s no reaction from the side of the studio in this matter.

Are they ignoring so many people’s petition, or do they believe that Amber is indeed not guilty? Only time will tell if she’s actually staying or going.

But she’s herself revealed, a few days ago, that she will return as Mera whenever the shooting begins in the future. So it’s another interesting thing to notice. It may also hint towards an indirect confirmation about the actress remaining on the project.

Meanwhile, in the middle of so many heavy speculations, another section of social media rumors are teasing her introduction in the MCU! Yes, that’s true as far as some theories are concerned.

Several online portals have predicted that Marvel boss Kevin Feige is trying to pursue Amber Heard for a future role. And to be precise, it’s about the Fantastic Four film, which is yet to make a debut in upcoming phases.

But again, these are all inauthentic speculations and should be taken with a grain of salt. What’s more exciting to observe is that despite so much hatred and criticism on the internet, the actress seems anything but affected by all these campaigns. The coming months will surely provide much-needed clarity.
