Now, Ian Halperin’s old statement is going viral proving none of it was true. In fact, Angelina Jolie planted these rumours to save herself. Many that time honestly believed (and they still do) that the Maleficent actress broke Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt apart.
So, Angelina Jolie ended up asking her managers to spread these rumours. She wanted the fans to believe that the reason was Jennifer Aniston herself and now Angelina.
It was in ‘Brangelina: The Untold Story’ that Ian Halperin made these claims. She mentioned how Angelina wanted to get rid of the ‘man-stealer’ tag.
“Angelina Jolie and her camp planted press stories in 2005 that painted Jennifer Aniston in a negative light. Specifically? That Aniston firmly prioritized her career over starting a family that put her directly at odds with Brad Pitt, who ached for kids. She was convinced that this is the story that would resonate with all these women who saw her as a man-stealer,” shared the author.
However, Jennifer too had reacted to these rumours. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she mentioned how she indeed wanted to be a mother.
When asked about it, Jennifer Aniston said, “That really pissed me off. I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children. I did and I do and I will! The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself? I’ve always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all.”
