Bob Saget Talks Lori Loughlin Scandal: ‘No Matter What I Say I’m Screwed’

Throughout Lori Louglin‘s legal battle, her Fuller House co-stars have remained unflinchingly supportive. During a recent interview on the Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum podcast, Bob Saget spoke about how challenging it’s been to be there for his longtime friend while dealing with the backlash for publicly supporting her amid the college admissions scandal.

“I love her,” Saget said of Loughlin. “I’ve been asked [about] it a lot. I’ve gotten whittled down. I just love her. I don’t know, I’d like to see a lot of other people doing time. We’re in such a place where no matter what I say I’m screwed, and I just love her. That’s where I am on that.”

Back in October, Saget revealed he sent Loughlin a text before she began her two-month prison sentence. The short and sweet message read “I love you and thinking of you — that’s all,” the 64-year-old actor told Page Six at the time.

Saget did not reveal whether he’s been in contact with Loughlin since she was released from prison at the end of December. Her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, remains behind bars for the next few months.
