Pop superstar Cheryl Cole has reportedly been dropped from the US reality show ‘X Factor’ due to her British accent.
The 27-year-old beauty, who is from North West English city Newcastle flew to Los Angeles to discuss her role in the show, but lost out on being the judge due to her low popularity in America.
However, ‘Promise This’ hit maker may still be a part of the show as a mentor since music mogul Simon Cowell is keen to boost her profile in America.
"Simon is consoling her with the offer of helping him win the first series, which would give her profile a massive boost," the source added.
Since her arrival, Cole has been feeling homesick and has been calling her mother constantly.
