South Korea is on the verge of canceling one of the biggest fashion shows presenting the fall/winter line of the Italian fashion house Fendi.

Fendi is known as the master of fur but it seems the city of Seoul, South Korea is on the verge of canceling one of the biggest fashion shows presenting the fall/winter line of the Italian fashion house Fendi.
Fendi is expecting 1,200 people, including dozens of celebrities, hundreds of journalists and the general public, for the fall-winter launch, routinely one of its biggest marketing events of the year. However, Seoul officials have asked Fendi on Friday to pull its fur pieces from the event, but the company refused.
According to reports, Fendi designer had difficulty understanding the decision and had spent months preparing its collection.
Animal rights activists in Seoul had threatened massive rallies unless fur was removed. City official Seo Jeong-hyup said Monday that Seoul subsequently demanded it because of negative public sentiments.
The latest fall/winter collection of Fendi was scheduled to be displayed on a fashion event on an artificial island on the Han River next month.
