Chrissy Teigen’s team alleged that Michael Costello forged the screenshots against the model.
On Thursday, Business Insider shared Teigen’s statement which accused Costello of purporting the Instagram direct messages he received in 2014. He posted the aforesaid screenshots alongside accusations of bullying.
Per the news outlet, the screenshots ultimately showed several inconsistencies that may prove he altered them.
Meanwhile, the team served the proof on the table to debunk Costello’s claims.

It includes the missing verified check next to John Legend’s wife’s name. The screenshots also have a video chat icon — a feature that was only introduced in 2018 — and Teigen’s profile photo.
As of the writing, Costello nor his representative has commented on the allegation yet.
What Costello said about alleged bullying
Earlier this week, Michael Costello posted a statement on his Instagram account. He revealed that he wanted to kill himself after Teigen bullied her in 2014.
Even until now, he, reportedly, feels traumatized, depressed, and suicidal.
“I didn’t want to do this, but I can not be happy until I speak my mind,” he captioned the post. “I need to heal and in order for me to do that I must reveal what I’ve been going through.”
Costello added that Teigen accused him of being a racist. When he reached out to Teigen, the model, reportedly, told her that he was not who he was and that his career was already over.
He also noted that both the model and her stylist, Monica Rose, affected his career by communicating with the brands that wanted to collaborate with him.
According to Costello, the entire situation kept on bothering him for the past years. Unfortunately, it caused him to have dark and suicidal thoughts.
His statement came after Teigen penned a lengthy blog post on Medium after Courtney Stodden outed cyberbullying claims. On the post, the TV personality expressed her sorry to the people she needs to publicly apologize to.
“I know I’ve been quiet, and lord knows you don’t want to hear about me, but I want you to know I’ve been sitting in a hole of deserved global punishment, the ultimate ‘sit here and think about what you’ve done,” she wrote.
Apart from Stodden and Costello, several stars also claimed that Teigen bullied them online, including Lindsay Lohan.
