Prince William ‘doesn’t feel trapped by royal life’

Prince William doesn’t feel ‘trapped’ by royal life, according to a source; instead, he respects the “duty and service’ of his role within the monarchy.

This is in contrast to comments made by Prince Harry during his interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside wife Meghan, during which he claimed his father Prince Charles and brother William are “trapped” in the royal system.

A source has now disputed this claim, telling the Sunday Times: “He [William] is very much is grandmother’s grandson in that respect of duty and service.”

The source added the future king has “accepted” his role within the monarchy and the “path set for him”.

With Prince Charles set to become King following the end of Queen Elizabeth’s reign, Prince William will become the Prince of Wales, taking on additional duties to the many he and wife Kate Middleton already have.

Prince Harry told Oprah during his interview, “I myself was trapped. I didn’t see a way out. I was trapped but I didn’t know I was trapped.”
