CRISIS INTENSIFIES: Democrat Plan Would Grant Amnesty To Over 4.4 Million Illegal Immigrants

“We are here to Stay” has become the rallying cry of millions of illegal migrants who have come to claim the United States as their new home. There was a time when language like that was used as hordes of invaders fought to invade a country, with resistance from the natives. This time however, the invasion is sponsored by the government of the land being invaded.

Around 4.4 million illegal immigrants could possibly get amnesty under a Democrat plan which passed in the House on Thursday. The act is known as the “American Dream and Promise Act of 2021.”

As usual, the Democrats frame their disregard for American native citizens as an act of valor and kindness by using appealing words like “dream” and “promise.”

The amnesty would allow them to enter freely and legally into the US labor market as nearly 17 million American citizens remain jobless. The Biden administration, however, seems to be more focused on increasing overall immigration levels and pack the labor market with foreign workers.

Biden lifted a Trump-era executive order which slowed down certain Green Card categories to decrease foreign competition in the labor market. His administration also released into the US more than a thousand migrants that were enrolled in the defunct Remain in Mexico Program; those who are adults will be able to get work visas and take jobs in the US economy.

The Migration Policy Institute conducted an analysis which assessed that around 2 and 3 million illegal aliens could be considered eligible for former President Barack Obama’s DACA program. The analysis also estimated that 400 thousand foreigners which are currently on Temporary Protected Status, could be put on a path to obtain green cards and eventually American Citizenship.

According to Breitbart, “all 218 House Democrats supported the plan, and the Republicans who supported the amnesty include:

  • Don Bacon (R-NE)
  • Maria Salazar (R-FL)
  • Dan Newhouse (R-WA)
  • David Valadao (R-CA)
  • Fred Upton (R-MI)
  • Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)
  • Chris Smith (R-NJ)
  • Carlos Gimenez (R-FL)
  • Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL)

Of course, the CEO of a major corporation sponsored the amnesty as well, knowing that such amnesty will provide him and other major companies an opportunity to lower wages. None other than Apple CEO Tim Cook took to twitter to urge Congress to pass legislation, which would benefit hundreds of illegal aliens who work for the tech conglomerate. It’s clear that Cook’s priority is not giving jobs to American workers, but to profit as much as he possibly can. Although, Cook strategically frames it as pure altruism.

The Congressional Budget Office has continually noted that mass immigration cuts American wages. In a 2020 analysis, they reported that “immigration has exerted downward pressure on the wages of relatively low-skilled workers who are already in the country, regardless of their birthplace.”

Republicans and conservatives majorly oppose the amnesty, in addition to most of the American working class and swing voters. But, as these migrants continue to flood the country, we know the votes of the American worker will continue to get diluted by those who broke the law to be in the country. 72 percent of republicans said that they oppose the amnesty. Among conservatives, the figure is a bit higher at 77 percent.
