Angelina Jolie and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, were allegedly planning for a family vacation before they agreed with the child custody battle, according to a report.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been separated for over four years already. However, it was only last month when the judge favored Pitt’s request for joint custody.

One tabloid claimed that amid their custody battle, the former couple was planning for a family vacation.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt allegedly planning a family vacation
In July last year, Globe published a report claiming that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were putting their feud behind for a family vacation. The exes were allegedly planning for a family trip with their six children.

The tabloid quoted an unnamed source saying Brangelina was dreaming if they could keep up a friendly facade for their children.

“Being calm and cordial with someone whose guts you’ve hated for 99 percent of the past four years is certain to spell a lot of tension,” the unnamed source said.

Gossip Cop examined the report and debunked it. It has been a year since it was published and Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and their kids never went on a family vacation.

Also, the article didn’t provide any details about the alleged family trip. It didn’t mention where the former couple would take their kids and how they would get there.

The tabloid did not provide concrete evidence to support its report other than quoting unnamed insiders.

The rumor-debunking site also noted that the report was easy to discredit because, at the time, Entertainment Tonight reported that Jolie and Pitt had no plans to reconcile. Also, they only communicate when it concerns their children’s needs and future.

Apparently, the vacation did not happen. Pitt and Jolie’s reconciliation is also very highly unlikely to happen.

Angelina unlikely to win an appeal
Judge John Ouderkirk made a tentative decision granting Brad Pitt joint custody over their five children. Michael Stutman, celebrity divorce attorney, warned the Maleficent star that she would have a hard time overturning the decision.

“Appeals are not typical, a very small portion of trial court decisions after hearings are appealed, just because the odds of winning are very small,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kelly Change Rickert, a Los Angeles-based family lawyer, shares the same concern as Stutman. He also believed that the appeal would be a tough battle for Jolie to win.

“It’s very unlikely that she’ll win on appeal,” she said.
