The WEtv star, 41, reunited with all four of her daughters, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efrid, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Shannon, for the first time in six years over the weekend.
While June had recently seen Efrid, 21, Jessica, 24, and Alana, 15, she and Cardwell, 26, had been estranged for some time.
In 2015, Chickadee sued her mom for $300,000, claiming she and her young daughter, Kaitlyn, had not been paid for appearances on “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”
June also battled a horrific drug problem — admitting to spending up to $1 million on “dope” — but finally got sober in 2020.
Despite their issues, the mother-daughter duo apparently put their differences aside for Lauryn’s baby shower in Gordon, Georgia.
“I haven’t seen all the girls together at once because the relationship with Anna has always been difficult because of my mother,” June said, admitting, “I wanted to be in the right frame of mind to be able to deal with Anna as it’s always been a touchy subject.”
The “Mama June: Road to Redemption” star shared that despite some slight awkwardness, seeing her eldest daughter and first granddaughter, Kaitlyn, was “great.”
“She is still with the same boyfriend and it was a little weird to see them,” June tells Page Six. “But I did what I call ‘roll call’ with all the girls being there.”
Lauryn and her husband, Joshua Efird, are expecting their second child together — a baby boy — on July 25. They also share a 3-year-old daughter, Ella Grace.
Pumpkin, who is currently eight months pregnant, noted that she and Joshua took precautions to host their gathering amid the pandemic.
She said, “There were about 50 people here with a water slide. We didn’t do a cake, so we decided to do individually wrapped cookies because of the COVID situation.”
The backyard party had a “Winnie the Pooh” theme that featured cookies shaped like the beloved character, honey pots, and bees, some with the baby’s name, Bentley, written on it.
The expectant couple also had a sign covered in yellow and blue balloons that featured a quote from “Winnie the Pooh”: “Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
“I’m still trying to process that Pumpkin is having a boy and what we are going to do with a boy?” June said. “In my family, I only have girls, so we all are going to be learning how to take care of a boy. But we will figure it out as a family, like always.”
