Angelina Jolie has been directly asked about her friendship with The Weeknd as she gave an interview to promote her new film Marvel Studio’s Eternals.
The megastar was chatting to E!’s Daily Pop when reporter Justin Sylvester fired the unexpected question.
‘Now, I have to know, because Angelina your kids are at the age where they have opinions so I have to know, were they more excited that you were in the Eternals or that you are friends with The Weeknd?” he asked.
Salma Hayek appeared to smile at her co-star as Angelina avoided looking at the camera and replied: “They’re very excited about this film…If that’s what you’re asking.

“They’re very excited about this film,” she repeated as she looked at Salma with an awkward wide smile.
Rumors have swirled about a budding romance between Jolie and The Weeknd – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – ever since paparazzi photos snapped them dining out together at an LA restaurant Giorgio Baldi in June.

In September, the actress, 46, was spotted with the singer, 31, enjoying a second meal out.
The pair reportedly spent more than two hours dining and wore black face masks while leaving the restaurant together. People reported the duo shared a car to his Bel-Air home.
According to US Weekly, the pair are telling people they are just friends. “But those who know them think something romantic is going on,” a source told the publication.

“She’s definitely warming toward Abel,” the insider tells Us. “He’s been pouring on the charm and going out of his way to impress her.”
