Kate Spade Signs Amerex Group for Women's Outerwear

Kate Spade New York has licensed Amerex Group Inc., to produce women’s outerwear under the Kate Spade New York label.

The collection will include leathers, faux furs, downs, wools, rainwear and quilted styles. The line will be introduced to retailers this month for fall 2016 selling. Wholesale prices range from $150 to $300.

“Outerwear is a natural brand extension for Kate Spade New York,” said David Meltzer, executive vice president of Amerex. The line will be distributed to Kate Spade New York specialty stores, katespade.com and at select retailers in the U.S. and Canada. The company declined to divulge a first-year volume projection.

Among Amerex’s licensed lines are Seven For All Mankind women’s and men’s outerwear; Jones New York women’s outerwear and swimwear; Jessica Simpson kids’ outerwear and swimwear, and Nicole Miller women’s outerwear. The company also produces kids’ outerwear under the OshKosh B’Gosh and London Fog labels.
