New York Fashion Week: Day Two

BCBG Max Azria, Richard Chai and Tadashi Shoji help to get the New York schedule into full swing

While yesterday saw the official start of New York Fashion Week – not to mention the entire month of international shows – today sees the schedule get into full swing. Starting the day off is BCBG Max Azria, a collection that, for many, marks the first full-scale on-schedule show of the season, and one which always attracts our first sighting of front row personalities. Expect a series of striking, contemporary dresses and a captivated audience of Manhattan-ites starting their shopping lists.

Richard Chai begins shortly afterwards, closely followed by Creatures of the Wind – which, as part of the Swarovski Collective for another season, means a touch of sparkle is guaranteed. Duckie Brown and Kimberley Ovitz take us into the afternoon, when the fashion pack can grab a quick snack for lunch before Tadashi Shoji – red carpet favourite of Florence Welch, Christina Hendricks and Kate Beckinsale.

The autumn/winter 2013-14 offerings from Raoul and Kenneth Cole wrap up the first full day of shows, while the editors get an early night in preparation for big-hitters Jason Wu, Rag & Bone and Helmut Lang tomorrow.
