Color is an important element. Here is a guide for you to understand the color power.

Wearing dark colors can change the entire outlook of ones personality. Dark shades can make you look thinner and taller. If you do not have a height to show off and are on the shorter side then wearing a dark shirt with matching trousers, with shoes of the same color can make you appear taller. Only women are fortunate enough to be able to wear all black during the day. For men the all black look is reserved fors pecial occassiona only. They can however break the all black look with a white or coloured shirt and tie.
Grey is the colour that specifies teamwork. It should be worn by people handling sales, banking, or finance. Grey shirts can be easily matched with trousers of other shades and matching blazzer with a good tie. Grey is not a colour that can be worn on its own. It fails to enhance the strong points and features of your body. It should always be mixed and matched.

Red is the most powerful color for men. It symbolizes activeness and energy. It is the colour of the man who likes to portray himself as the initiator. Red ties are power ties that stand out with a crisp white shirt. For women, red is the color of all seasons. Red jackets, blouses, and dresses look fabulous everywhere and everywhere. But red is usually too strong for a suit so should be broken down and blended with other shades.

Pair yellow with darker shades like as navy, grey, or black for a better outcome. Men can wear light yellow ties with different shirts. Women should avoid solid yellow suits but should pair it with other colors. A yellow shirt, scarve or cardigan can add the extra uplift to your outward appearance and make you look suumary and fresh.

Blue is the color that is liked best. It is the favourite color of both men and women universally. Blue suits everyone. But, it is very important to find a good shade of blue that is neither too ligh or too dark. A light blue is too draining for the eyes and dark blue is far too overwhelming. Light blue is not a good choice for a suit, but very powerful when worn as a shirt or a tie. Both men and women should have atleast one navy pinstripes for the most powerful look. Men should not use blue for accessories especially when it comes to a blue briefcase. Women, however, should use navy for shoes and purses, but should stay away from blue briefcases.
